چکیده
In this paper, we study the problem of physical layer security in uplink millimeter-wave massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) networks and propose a jamming detection suppression method. The proposed method is based on directional information received signals at base station antenna array. can accurately detect both existence direction jammer using pilot training phase. obtained then exploited to develop channel estimator that excludes jammer's angular subspace from signals. estimated used for designing combiner able effectively cancel out deliberate interference jammer. By numerical simulations, evaluate performance terms correct probability false alarm show its effectiveness when power substantially lower than user's power. Also, our results achieve very close spectral efficiency as case no network

Jamming Detection in Massive MIMO Systems
This paper considers the physical layer security of a pilot-based massive multiple-input multiple-output (MaMIMO) system in presence of a multi-antenna jammer. To improve security of the network, we propose a new jamming detection method that makes use of a generalized likelihood ratio test over some coherence blocks. Our proposed method utilizes intentionally unused pilots in the network. The ...

There is considerable interest in the combined use of millimeter-wave (mmwave) frequencies and arrays of massive numbers of antennas (massive MIMO) for next-generation wireless communications systems. A symbiotic relationship exists between these two factors: mmwave frequencies allow for densely packed antenna arrays, and hence massive MIMO can be achieved with a small form factor; low per-ante...

متن کاملMassive MIMO in Sub-6 GHz and mmWave: Physical, Practical, and Use-Case Differences
The use of base stations (BSs) and access points (APs) with a large number of antennas, called Massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output), is a key technology for increasing the capacity of 5G networks and beyond. While originally conceived for conventional sub-6GHz frequencies, Massive MIMO (mMIMO) is ideal also for frequency bands in the range 30-300GHz, known as millimeter wave (mmWave). ...
متن کاملEnergy Efficiency and Asymptotic Performance Evaluation of Beamforming Structures in Doubly Massive MIMO mmWave Systems
Future cellular systems based on the use of millimeter waves will heavily rely on the use of antenna arrays both at the transmitter and at the receiver. For complexity reasons and energy consumption issues, fully digital precoding and postcoding structures may turn out to be unfeasible, and thus suboptimal structures, making use of simplified hardware and a limited number of RF chains, have bee...
